Privacy Policy

The short version. Your embroidery designs never leave your phone. Hoopside has no account, no login and no server of its own. It sends anonymous usage events and crash reports so the app can be fixed and improved, and nothing that identifies you.

Your design files

Every design you open, view, convert or print is processed entirely on your device. Hoopside does not upload design files anywhere, does not keep copies of them, and has no ability to read them once you close the app.

Hoopside asks for no storage permission. It reads a file only when you hand it one — through the system file picker, through "Open with" from another app, or through a share. Android grants access to that specific file, and Hoopside keeps that grant only so a design in your Recents list opens again later. You can revoke it at any time in Android's settings.

Converted files and printed thread charts are written where you choose, through the system's own save dialog.

What is collected

Hoopside uses Google Firebase Analytics and Google Play's billing service. Between them these record:

What is not collected

There is no advertising in Hoopside, and no advertising or tracking network is embedded in it.

Who processes data on our behalf

Retention

Analytics events are retained by Firebase according to the project's configured window and are aggregated. Purchase records are retained for as long as the purchase is valid, which for a one-time unlock is indefinitely, so the unlock can be restored on a new phone.

Your rights, and how to ask Hoopside to delete your data

You can stop collection at any time by revoking the app's data sharing in Android's settings, or by uninstalling Hoopside.

To have the records associated with your install deleted, email machadowg@gmail.com from any address, with the subject “Hoopside data deletion”. Say which app you mean (Hoopside, by machado001) and, if you have it, your RevenueCat app-user ID. You do not need an account, because Hoopside does not have one.

What gets deleted: the anonymous usage events, the crash reports, the device and app basics (app version, device model, operating-system version, country) and the resettable app-instance identifier tied to that install, and the record of your one-time unlock. Requests are answered within 30 days.

What cannot be deleted, because it was never collected: your embroidery designs and anything derived from them, your name, email address, phone number or contacts, your precise location, and your photos. None of it ever leaves your phone.

Deleting the record of your unlock also gives up your ability to restore that purchase on a new phone. Google Play keeps its own record of the transaction under Google's terms, and that is not ours to erase.

Children

Hoopside is a tool for machine embroiderers and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the updated policy appears here before the change takes effect in the app.
